It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that I share the passing of Marion Carmichael “Michael” Rivers, husband of Jeanie Simmons Rivers. Michael passed peacefully today, December 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife Jeanie (Simmons) Rivers and their children; Quinton Rivers, Courtney Rivers Branch and Adrianna Rivers..

Funeral Service Announcement for Marion Caramichael "Michael" Rivers
Mr. Marion Rivers will lie in state at 9:00 AM with a Rosary beginning at 9:30 AM at St Benedict the Moor Church. Visitation with the family will be held 12 PM - 2 PM, Sunday, December 10, 2023, in The Adams Chapel with Masonic Rites beginning around 1:30 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 11, 2023, at Saint Benedict The Moor Catholic Church located at 441 East Broad Street, Savannah.
Burial will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery after the funeral service on Monday at 1:00 PM.
